Team Player 3 Lite Serial Free Long Distance![]() The Schwinn badge on the head tube is stamped 3473, indicating the 347th day of 1983 (December 13th, 1983). My guess is Giant produced the frames in batches, and then bikes were later assembled either by Giant in Taiwan or by Schwinn in one of their United States facilities. Im guessing the Schwinn badge on the head tube indicates the day the bike was actually assembled (I understand yours doesnt have this). Ive learned that the Schwinn BMX bikes were generally regarded pretty highly, but it was one of those too little, too late scenarios, and Schwinns significantly improved Giant-produced bikes in the mid-1980s were not enough to turn the company around before the brand name was ultimately sold. That and being original (I suspect tires are original) makes this a very nice score. I came across one earlier that didnt appear quite as original. Is on SD CL listed at 800, but that is high for a mid range non USA built bmx. The 4-digit stamp on the headbadge will indicate the actual day the bike was built. Post a close-up pic of the badge number for more information. Use of this site indicates your consent to the Terms of Use.
